Discovering Costa Rica means experiencing nature, feeling the jungle, rainforests, and cloud forests, enjoying dreamy beaches, mountains, and savannas, and truly experiencing the people, flora, fauna, and wilderness. One of the best ways to get to know Costa Rica is through a completely individual (round) trip. This is where we come in as your starting point and organizer, with our two small boutique hotels.
Our Travel TipsThe Posada Nena Santa Ana is strategically located in close proximity to the Juan Santamaría International Airport, the historical capital city of San José, and numerous natural attractions of the Central Valley. The tranquil town of Santa Ana is surrounded by lush green mountains, and the best restaurants in Costa Rica can be found here.

We have put together the perfect combination for a 10-day trip here, which we can offer so affordably because it includes many self-services. The trip starts after picking up at the airport at our "Posada Nena Santa Ana," then continues to Tortuguero National Park and on to the Caribbean coast in Puerto Viejo - pure Caribbean. After an exciting rafting tour on the Pacuare River, the journey concludes at Braulio Carrillo NP.
Caribbean AdventureThe destination of the trip is the pristine Barva Volcano in Braulio Carrillo National Park, the largest and, in our opinion, the most exciting national park in Costa Rica. This special tour is a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts in the cloud forest. Barva Volcano has been extinct for a long time.
Trekking Tour to Barva VolcanoUntil the end of October 2018, the volcano was closed to visitors. Since then, it has been reopened to visitors. Here we offer three tours in one day - the day tour to Poás Volcano, the Doka Coffee Estate, and the La Paz Waterfalls. Poás Volcano, with a crater nearly 1.3 km in diameter, is one of the largest volcanic craters in the world. It is located north of Santa Ana and is surrounded by tropical forests at an elevation of 2,574m.
Day tour to Poás VolcanoThis is one of the most spectacular tours you can take in Costa Rica - the Pacuare River. An exciting Class III-IV rafting trip through pristine nature. A unique experience that also serves as an excellent transfer option. The tour starts or ends in Santa Ana/San José, the Caribbean, or in La Fortuna.
Rafting on the Pacuare RiverIn the Caribbean, we offer day trips to the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge. There are various options available, such as guided tours with a German biologist providing detailed explanations or hiking with a subsequent kayaking tour through the wildlife-rich coastal landscape.
Exciting tour in the Manzanillo Wildlife RefugeCosta Rica is a very diverse (travel) country - a dream comes true. Here you can experience real nature up close - a tropical paradise with an incredibly diverse flora and fauna. Lots of information about the country here.
